Shortly after 7 a.m. this morning, the car went off the road, hitting a tree in the 4600 block of County Road P in the Town of Pelican.
Rescuers had trouble opening the doors of the SUV when they first approached the accident.
Pastor Norman Peterson is the Deputy Chief for the Town of Pelican Volunteer Fire Department, "When I arrived on scene the ambulance was here, as were the deputies. We were told that the vehicle was locked and the person was unconscious."
