Gov. Walker: Toll Roads Not Likely in Wisconsin Submitted: 11/26/2012
MADISON - Most Wisconsin drivers prefer our roads to Illinois roads. The big reason? No tolls. But could funding issues mean we'll soon have them? The Governor says not likely.

The delay of several big road projects around the state, including the Zoo Interchange near Milwaukee, has some worried about higher taxes.

But Governor Walker downplayed the possiblibilty of toll roads or gas tax increases Monday.

He says Wisconsin needs to find a better way to pay for the projects without delaying them.

The Governor plans to unveil his transportation plan with the state budget in February.
