NORTHWOODS - As one hunt gets ready to begin, another will come to an end.
The wolf quota for the Northwoods is filled. The DNR said today it was closing zones Two and Four Friday when hunting and trapping hours end.
Those zones include almost all of Oneida, Vilas, Lincoln, Langlade, and Forest Counties in the viewing area. The hunt began on October 15.
It's set to run until hunters kill 116 wolves or until the last day of February, whichever comes first.
