Heavy Rains Cause Hwy 45 Flooding Submitted: 11/11/2012
EAGLE RIVER - Sunday's Heavy rain caused one major highway in Vilas County to partially shut down.

One of the northbound lanes on Highway 45 in Eagle River was closed off Sunday afternoon due to flooding.

Eagle River police and the Vilas County Sheriff's department detoured traffic for a few hours.

The massive puddle was several inches deep and spanned several yards.

The speed limit in that area is 35mph but cars were going about 10mph to avoid skidding out.

Eagle River got about an inch of rain Sunday.

Sayner reported the most amount of rainfal--getting about an inch and a half.
