- If you voted for President Obama or Mitt Romney on Tuesday, you didn't exactly vote just for them.
Instead, you voted for an "elector" to represent your vote in the Electoral College. Wisconsin has 10 of them.
But that's not just an abstract idea - in fact, Wausau attorney Chris Bremer was chosen as one of the electors for the President.
"It's an honor to be selected," Bremer said. "You're selected for your interest, work, and dedication to the party and what you've done to help elect the President, so it's a huge honor to me."
Bremer is one of the electors that will cast their ballot for the President at a December meeting in Madison.
This isn't the first time someone close to her has had the honor.
"It's really special to me because my grandfather was an elector for President Roosevelt in 1940," Bremer said. "When I was chosen to be an elector for President Obama, I was just absolutely thrilled."
Bremer was a strong Obama supporter and advocate during the campaign.
