- A Prentice company prepares to move out of town - but it will actually add jobs to the community.
G.A. Miller sells hydraulic hoses and metal fittings, parts often used on industrial machines and tools. They employ eight people right now.
That will expand once they move into their new facility just west of town next year. G.A. Miller has been in Prentice since its beginnings in 1969.
"It was a hard decision to move out of the town of Prentice, but moving out to the highway, we feel we're going to get more exposure with the traffic going by," owner Kristin Reukauf said. "We just needed more room so we could expand and take care of the customers' needs."
The ground has been broken and the concrete has been poured on the new facility. The owners are expecting to have it ready for move in by next April 1st, 2013.
