Final Push to Get Out The Vote Submitted: 11/06/2012
RHINELANDER - After today the seemingly endless political campaigning will take a break. But volunteers from both parties say the outreach is crucial when big issues, and the direction of our country hang in the balance.

"It's critical this year I think because of the economy. We have people out of work, people are hurting," said Chris Dries, an Oneida County Republican Party Volunteer.

"Big business has got a way of controlling the little guy, and it's not right," said William Sattler, an Onieda County Democratic Party Volunteer.

Besides encouraging people to vote, volunteers hope they can bring people together as more active and engaged citizens.

"I have good friends who are democrats, and I respect them," said Dries, "We're not diehard Republicans and maybe we're not diehard Democrats, but we are diehard Americans."
