- With just one day to go until the election, Governor Scott Walker joined former governor Tommy Thompson on the campaign trail in Schofield this afternoon.
Thompson is behind his opponent Tammy Baldwin in the polls, but said he's confident about his chances of winning a seat in the U.S. Senate.
The ads for this race have been especially heated, but Governor Walker said the state will move past the bipartisanship.
"It won't necessarily happen Wednesday or Thursday morning, but I think in America just like we saw in Wisconsin, given enough time, given enough people who want to work together, we'll be able to move on in America just like we've been able to do in Wisconsin," he said.
Walker said he's endorsing Thompson so his two sons have a better employment outlook in the future.
Thompson and Walker were headed next to Green Bay.
