- Most of us already put in forty-plus hours a week at our jobs, but two people in Rhinelander don't stop there.
This year, the Rhinelander Chamber of Commerce gave out "Volunteer of the Year" awards for the first time.
Out of hundreds of volunteers, the awards went to LindaKrebsbach and Brett Aylesworth.
Chamber director Lara Reed said they work all year long and put in as many as ten hours a week.
Brett depends on volunteers at his day job at the Rhinelander Ice Arena, and said he likes to give back.
"It's real rewarding, you feel good about yourself, you feel good about helping the community, helping others, no matter what you're volunteering for, whether it be the chamber or Meals on Wheels," he said. "Whatever you can volunteer for, get out and do it, it makes you feel real good."
Brett is also a member of the chamber board.
