- The Northwoods Art Tour is closing out its 12th year this weekend. Twice a year area artists open their studios to visitors for an inside look at how their work is done.
From Presque Isle to Elcho, you can meet artists and learn about their work.
"That's one of the best things about this art tour, is that people get to see just how things are made," says Betty Christian, a Guest Artist at Riverrun Arts.
You can meet all kinds of artists, including painters, sculptors, print makers, photographers and jewelry makers.
This event grows every year.
"It's come to the point now where people arrange their vacations around the art tour in the summertime particularly. And oftentimes people then do come from out of the area because Cranberryfest is going on this weekend and other events in the area. So they make it a big weekend to include all of those different things," says Joan Slack, Owner of Riverrun Arts.
