MADISON - Oneida County's next judge will be getting an early start.
Current Oneida county district attorney Mike Bloom was picked by voters for the judge's position.
He'd been scheduled to begin his duties August first.
Governor Scot Walker has appointed Bloom to fill the vacant judge's post as of June 25th.
Bloom will undergo a four to five week training period.
That will include a mentoring program, where Bloom will sit with other judges as they hear cases.
Once Bloom officially becomes judge, it will be up to the Governor to appoint a new district attorney to fill the remainder of Bloom's term.
