MOLE LAKE - Five suspects were arrested today in connection with the stabbing of a 32-year-old Wausau man Wednesday in Mole Lake, according to the Forest County Sheriff's Department.

The arrests were made at a hotel in Carter, and more arrests are expected as the investigation continues.

A 17-year-old Michigan woman was also held against her will at the home where the alleged stabbing occurred.

The Sheriff's Department says the incident may have been gang-related, with ties to other Wisconsin cities and possibly other states.

The victim is in stable condition.
