Dollar Tree Recalls Glue Guns

- The Dollar Tree has placed a recall on 470,000 Crafters Square Hot Melt Mini Glue Guns. The company says the guns have a tendency to short-circuit causing smoke. If you own the product you should return it to Dollar Tree stores for a refund.
Dollar Tree sold the recalled glun guns from December 2007 through March 2008.

- There are several new toy recalls.
About 87,000 magnets are imported from India by American Scientific and are now under recall. The magnets are covered with paint that has high levels of lead.
Some 4,000 Disney "Pirates of the Caribbean" sleeping bags are being recalled for leaded paint on their zippers.

- Two things that children put in their mouths are the focus of lead paint recalls.
The first, these fake "hillbilly" teeth.
Sold by Funtastic, of Houston, Texas, the gray paint has unsafe lead levels.
Contact the company for a refund.
The second, seasonal pens from Michaels.
The paint on the flower writer, Christmas writer, Easter writer, and spooky writer pens has high lead levels.
Bring them back to Michaels for a refund.

Dart Board Recall

- A New Jersey company is recalling 870-thousand of the Fun'n Games magnetic dart boards. Small magnets at the ends of the darts can come off if your child swallows them they could stick together and cause internal injuries even death. The toys were sold at family dollar stores from september 2002 until last month.

Insect Toy Recall

- There's another recall to tell you about that affects about 300-thousand plush toys sold at Dollar Tree stores. The voluntary recall of the "Cuddly Cousins Plush Insect Toys" was issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission and Dollar Tree Stores.
