Job Duties:
WJFW wants to find its next entry-level news reporter. We hire people who show great potential and help them grow quickly while they work with us. Our reporters come up with their own ideas and report, shoot, write, edit, and present their stories on-air. The successful applicant will demonstrate the potential to do all of those things well. We look for people who can go on the air and be conversational, appealing, and professional. Live reporting from the field and on the set are necessary everyday parts of this position. Fill-in anchoring skills will be important.
Applicants should have a four-year college degree focused around journalism or communications. A strong interest in the liberal arts will be helpful. All applicants considered for an interview will pass a rigorous writing exercise before being asked to visit. Grammar and spelling are critically important skills.

Online and social media reporting skills are required for this position.

You must have a valid driver’s license.

Job Title: News/Sports Multimedia Journalist          03/08/2018
Job Duties:
WFJW is accepting applications from candidates who want to be television reporters.

This is an entry-level position for someone who wants grow professionally. ``Sports Only`` applicants should not apply. We cover sports and outdoor recreation topics the same way we cover news topics. We rarely do sports ``segments.`` We are looking for applicants who are completely comfortable covering daily news topics and also have a keen interest in sports and recreation.

Our reporters come up with their own ideas. They shoot, report, write, edit, and present those stories for on-air and online audiences. The successful applicant will demonstrate the potential to do all of those things well. The position requires an on-air presence that is conversational, appealing, and professional. Anchoring skills are necessary.

A four-year college degree is required. Journalism or communications majors are preferred. The successful applicant will likely have strong academic background in history, political science, sociology, or other liberal arts areas. Analytic problem solving is an important trait.

Those strongly considered for the position will pass a rigorous writing test before being asked to visit us for an interview.

Job Duties:
Newswatch 12 has an exciting local sales position available in our Wausau office. We are seeking an extraordinary individual with a strong desire to succeed. Account Executive duties include developing new business and managing existing accounts for WJFW NBC 12, Antenna TV and wjfw.com.

Newswatch 12 is the NBC affiliate serving the Wausau-Rhinelander viewing area. We are the home of the Olympics, Sunday Night Football, Today Show, NBC Prime, Saturday Night Live, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy.
Candidates should have excellent writing ability and strong verbal communication skills. Be goal oriented with a strong desire to succeed. Should be competent with Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Radio, Television, Print, or internet sales experience desired. Must have reliable transportation. This is a full time position.

Job Title: Creative Services Producer          01/30/2018
Job Duties:
Produce television commercials for local advertisers from inception to broadcast. Assist in creating news and station promotions including writing, filming and editing. Acquire commercials coming in house via email or FTP from outside agencies.
Able to creatively plan and translate abstract concepts into effective visual form. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software including Premiere, Photoshop and Audition. Ability to operate video cameras, audio and lighting equipment. Able to multitask, meet deadlines and able to work independently in a fast paced environment. Good writing skills are a plus. Good communication skills and computer skills are a must.
Pay Rate: Based on experience
