Job Title: Multimedia Journalist          05/21/2015
Job Duties:
WJFW is accepting applications from candidates who want to be television news reporters. This is an entry-level position for someone who wants grow professionally. Our reporters come up with their own ideas, shoot, report, write, edit, and front all of their stories on-air. The successful applicant will demonstrate the potential to do all of those things well. Applicants should show an on-air presence that is conversational, appealing, and professional. Fill-in anchoring skills are necessary.

Job Title: Managing Editor          05/21/2015
Job Duties:
WJFW is accepting applications for a Managing Editor of News.
This is a leadership position that requires anchoring, producing and reporting on a daily basis, training and managing reporters, and guiding content development for all dayside newscasts.

Qualifications:
At least four years of recent local commercial television reporting and anchoring experience is required. The successful applicant is almost certainly currently working in a local television newsroom.
The position requires being able and willing to work alone as a multimedia journalist on a daily basis.
Demonstrated managerial and mentoring skills along with a four-year degree in journalism or communications will be required.
Familiarity with news coverage in Wisconsin, especially northern Wisconsin, will be considered in the process of selecting valid candidates for the position.

Job Title: Technical Director          05/12/2015
Job Duties:
Newswatch 12 is accepting applications from people who want to direct live television newscasts. This is an entry-level opening for people who want to learn how to direct local news programs that are contemporary, fast-paced, and energetic.
The job duties include studio camera operation, field video gathering, video editing, audio board operation, and graphics creation. But the central responsibility is directing clean, creative, "drama-free" newscasts on a consistent basis.
Qualifications:
The successful applicant will have an open, upbeat, "can do" personality and will be able to work well with entry-level news people. Excellent verbal communication skills are a must.

Basic computer knowledge is a plus. A college degree (2 or 4 year) in a related field is a plus.

Our technical directors are expected to be much more than button pushers. They are part of the creative team effort -- a major part -- on every newscast every day. The ability to work under pressure in a calm, decisive manner is essential. Adapting flexibly to rapid change as deadlines near is a critical part of success in this job.

Job Duties:
Newswatch 12 has an exciting local sales position available in our Wausau office. We are seeking an extraordinary individual with a strong desire to succeed. Account Executive duties include developing new business and managing existing accounts for WJFW NBC 12, Antenna TV and wjfw.com.

Newswatch 12 is the NBC affiliate serving the Wausau-Rhinelander viewing area. We are the home of the Summer Olympics, Sunday Night Football, Today Show, NBC Prime, Saturday Night Live, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have excellent writing ability and strong verbal communication skills. Be goal oriented with a strong desire to succeed. Should be competent with Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Radio, Television, Print, or internet sales experience desired. Must have reliable transportation. This is a full time position.
