Job Title: News/Sports Multimedia Journalist          04/25/2016
Job Duties:
WFJW is accepting applications from candidates who want to be television reporters.

This is an entry-level position for someone who wants grow professionally. ``Sports Only`` applicants should not apply. We cover sports and outdoor recreation topics the same way we cover news topics. We rarely do sports ``segments.`` We are looking for applicants who are completely comfortable covering daily news topics and also have a keen interest in sports and recreation.

Our reporters come up with their own ideas. They shoot, report, write, edit, and present those stories for on-air and online audiences. The successful applicant will demonstrate the potential to do all of those things well. The position requires an on-air presence that is conversational, appealing, and professional. Anchoring skills are necessary.


Qualifications:
A four-year college degree is required. Journalism or communications majors are preferred. The successful applicant will likely have strong academic background in history, political science, sociology, or other liberal arts areas. Analytic problem solving is an important trait.

Those strongly considered for the position will pass a rigorous writing test before being asked to visit us for an interview.

Online and social media content skills will be considered for this hire. You must have a valid driverís license. This is a salaried full-time position with a 2-year contractual commitment.

Job Title: Part-Time Master Control Operator - Entry Level Position          04/13/2016
Job Duties:
Hours: 4am-7am Mon-Wed & 5a-1p Sat & Sun. Additional hours as needed.

Operate Master Control at a full power TV station. Record Satellite feeds, operate the On Air Server, and assist in the Newscasts.
Qualifications:
Must be a good communicator, and be able to fully cooperate with all departments. Must be able to also operate independently, when necessary.

Personal Transportation required.

Our reporters come up with their own ideas, shoot, report, write, edit, and voice their stories on-air. The successful applicant will demonstrate the potential to do all of those things well. Applicants should show an on-air presence that is conversational, appealing, and professional. Live reporting from the field and on the set are necessary everyday skills. Fill-in anchoring skills will be important.

Job Duties:
Newswatch 12 has an exciting local sales position available in our Wausau office. We are seeking an extraordinary individual with a strong desire to succeed. Account Executive duties include developing new business and managing existing accounts for WJFW NBC 12, Antenna TV and wjfw.com.

Newswatch 12 is the NBC affiliate serving the Wausau-Rhinelander viewing area. We are the home of the Summer Olympics, Sunday Night Football, Today Show, NBC Prime, Saturday Night Live, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have excellent writing ability and strong verbal communication skills. Be goal oriented with a strong desire to succeed. Should be competent with Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Radio, Television, Print, or internet sales experience desired. Must have reliable transportation. This is a full time position.
Pay Rate: Salary plus commission
